Behind the Radar
On My Radar is an audio blog geared towards music that interests us. We write because we are truly passionate about music and we want to share our thoughts about upcoming music with the world.
People have a fascination for art, whether it be painting, drawing, architecture, interior decor, or music. Art defines us and allows us to express ourselves in a way that is near and dear to us. Art is who we are and what are we without it? We all like to experience an impression that artwork gives us as it makes us feel something that we can relate to. On My Radar is a gateway to express our love for art, specifically music, and share what we love with the world. We express our own selves through our writing and that is the art that we are sharing with you.
So sit back, take a read while you listen to some tracks and enjoy.
Why do I write and why did I pick music to write about?

I take music with me everywhere I go (like many of you), even when I don't have my iPod or phone with me. I'm very passionate about music and I think there is something soulful and telltale about the music and genres of music that you listen to. You can tell a lot about a person by what they listen too, but always, always be careful not to judge someone too quickly by their musical preferences (sometimes people can surprise you, more often than not). I write because I like music, and I like sharing music with other people. I like the reaction you see when other people really like a song you show them. I like the endless opportunities to express yourself musically and emotionally. Most of all, I like listening to a song in solitude and thinking about all the memories that it reminds me of. A song does that to me and it's amazing to think that one line can bring out so much in a person. For example, take the song Whenever We Finish by Two Hours Traffic. One of the last lines in the song is "I'd rather see you in colour." This line emphasizes the you and the me, the people who we really are on the inside that only you, yourself can know. It emphasizes that no-one knows what you're thinking or what you have endured throughout your life and it emphasizes your uniqueness (hence, colour). It's simple, yet refined and that's what is so inspiring about it.
So take the time to get to know yourself because that's what really matters.
