WU LYF - Go Tell Fire to the Mountain (Released June 23, 2011)
Heavy Pop is such a hard hitting tune which really paints a picture for modern rock to come. Roberts raspy vocals bring such strength and fortitude to the song. Especially in their performance on Letterman, you can hear the heart that is put into the song. You can see the effort it takes to make such a sound. This is talent.
Heavy Pop brings to justice the essence of their musical style. Indie rock or heavy pop, whatever you want to call it, it is still a marvellous tune. Heavy Pop is the perfect way to end off an all-around amazing album Go Tell Fire to the Mountain.
Look out for more from WU LYF. After all, their first television debut was on Letterman. Expect to hear more from the band soon. Topping my playlist this week is Heavy Pop by WU LYF. This song has probably one of my favourite introductions ever.
