Cinematic Electronica
Project Primer is an electronica duo based out of Toronto, Canada and have shown some very interesting styles of music throughout their musical journey. Their adaptations of the classical piano mixed with modern electronic melodies has spurred a very ambient and chill style. Almost an intelligent style, if you will. With the release of an EP entitled Experiments, Project Primer is already on their way to gaining some recognition from the local crowd.
Now out with a remix of Birdy's Without A Word, Project Primer is showing their diversity in the electronic genre by showcasing their talents. It was quite an interesting remix which was full of epic synth reverberations and some heavy delay. To spice things up a bit, Project Primer remastered their remix and stepped it up a notch with their remixing and producing abilities.
The remastered remix is definitely much better and has a few new additions to the song. Aside from the song sounding much cleaner and ear-pleasing, they have added in some very fitting synthesizers to change up the song about halfway through and made it much more interesting. Vocally, Birdy sounds stunning on her own and her live version of Without A Word is heart-wrenching. Project Primer took an already amazing vocalist and put that reverb/delay spin on them. The very nuance of the track is by its very fabric, the beauty which lies within.
Project Primer has done a masterful job on their remix! Spot on. If you like chill, then I'm sure you'll like Project Primer.
