In light of the release to come of their new album entitled Ghostory, School of Seven Bells has since released a couple tracks (The Night, Lafaye) Ghostory is a highly anticipated indie rock/alternative album (due out on Feb. 28th through Vagrant Records). The band has recently undergone some changes and has downsized to two members from their original three with guitarist/producer Benjamin Curtis and vocalist Alejandra Deheza.
Tha album is based on the concept that everyone comes with their baggage or as Deheza quite aptly put it, "“Everyone has ghosts. They're every love you've ever had, every hurt, every betrayal, every heartbreak. They follow you, stay with you." I also want to note that the album title is very fitting considering the concept behind the album and their unique style of "ghostly" music. This is their third album (following Disconnect with Desire) and I must say, I am extremely excited to hear what is to come! The Night (the first single release from the album) is a wonderful song full of Deheza's lustrous eidolic vocals and those renowned experimental alternative guitar riffs. Take a listen and enjoy!
