The Artist
"thenewno2 announce the release of their second EP, EP002 out September 27th through Dhani Harrison’s (George Harrison's son) own H.O.T. Records Ltd. The band also announces three shows kicking off at School Night at Bardot in Los Angeles, CA on August 29th along with two shows at Pearl Jam 20 Festival on September 3rd and 4th in Alpine Valley, WI.Currently, thenewno2 is back in the studio and finalizing their sophomore album due out in early 2012."
The Music
thenewno2 have a really interesting sound. They definitely pull from various genres with this album including a little bit of hip-hop and rap. Primarily, they seem to focus on an alternative rock perspective while experimenting with elements of other genres worked into their songs. I am really intrigued by their musical abilities to include various styles of music into one song. I could only imagine the amount of thought put into each song. This is definitely a really talented group of musicians who produce some very quality sounding work. I am extremely impressed with thenewno2. I guess being the son of a legend, you probably have some sort of an expectation to live up to. By my account, whatever the expectations are, they've surpassed them and derived their own unique sound. I hope you enjoy their music as much as I do.
